Become a Member! The Texas Fire Chiefs Association’s mission is to serve the citizens of Texas by actively participating in the advancement of the fire service through positive leadership, sharing of information and active legislative involvement while maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards. It is more important than ever to support the TFCA as we work through the Legislative Sessions. The TFCA represents your interests in a myriad of ways including, but not limited to, active participation in GETAC, the Texas Commission on Fire Protection, the Texas Municipal League, LODD Committees and Investigative Teams, the Texas A&M Municipal Fire School, TIFMAS, and scores of others. We are active participants in the Texas Legislative Sessions and we monitor legislation that affects the diverse body of the Texas Fire Service. The TFCA also represents the interests of the Texas Fire Service to our members in Washington The Texas Fire Chiefs Association has various activities for its members. As you know, we hold two annual Fire Chiefs Academies as well as a “fire chiefs only” workshop annually. Watch for the program called, the “Company Officer Symposium” which will bring together outstanding Company Officers and reinvigorate your Company Officer staff. Finally, we are launching a Volunteer/Combination Department Academy this year and we continue to learn from each other through the Best Practices Recognition Program. We will wrap up the year by having a LODD Conference where we take a serious look at the challenges of changing the culture in the Fire Service. No small task. New Membership Option!
